Krishishakti, 12 hp small tractor has been designed and developed at CSIR-CMERI, Durgapur and its technology was transferred to M/s Singha Components, Howrah. The licensee, after receiving the CMVR certificate from  CFMTTI, Budni planned for production of this tractor. Accordingly, the licensee asked for technical assistance from CSIR-CMERI for development of a low capacity production line initially. CSIR-CMERI assisted in design of the plant layout, assembly line and fixtures, based on which the licensee could start the production of initial batches of Krishishakti tractor at their works. The licensee has also launched the tractor commercially in West Bengal.
