AGATHA- Advanced Grating for Thin Films Solar Cell

Project Number:
GAP201712
Project Type:
Project Date:
01/09/2013 to 31/08/2016
Cost of the Project:
118.43
Sponsoring Agency:
Department of Science & Technology (DST), GOI
Deliverables:

Overall Project Objectives: (i) Modeling - To replicate grating structures of ~1µm period and 300 nm high.
(ii) TCO and Molybdenum conformal deposition and nano-texturation - To produce 100-300 nm wide Mo nano-features in a time no exceeding 20% of the Mo deposition time.
(iii) Implementation of modulated surface textures in thin film solar cells. - a Significant drop in degradation rate (10% instead of 20%) is expected for the a -Si:H technology.
(iv) Demonstration of mini-module manufacturing and acclerated testing. CSIR-CMERI Objectives (WorkPackage -II): To develop an appropriate micro/nano fabrication process to manufacture relatively larger stamps (tool inserts) to use in hot embossing of glass.
(a) Development of hybrid micro technology for making embossing tool
(b) Investigations on embossing tool materials for the glass substrate
(c) Manufacturability evaluation of hot embossing tool with the designed geometrical features
(d) Characterization of embossing tool including process modeling
