Dye Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC) /Quantum dot Dye Sensitized Solar Cell

Project Number:
GAP201412
Project Type:
Project Date:
01/06/2012 to 31/03/2017
Cost of the Project:
141.60
Sponsoring Agency:
MNRE, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Solar Energy Centre, Block 14, CGO Complex, Lodi Road, New Delhi - 110003
Deliverables:

i) Synthesis and physico-chemical characterization of new organic molecules.
ii) Studies of electro-chemical, photo-physical and excited state properties of the organic sensitizer molecules.
iii)Synthesis and physico-chemical characterization of ruthenium, cobalt, iron and chromium complexes of the above organic ligands.
iv) Studies of electro-chemical, photo-physical and excited state properties of the above metal complexes of the organic sensitizer molecules.
v) Preliminary evaluation of the above dye sensitizers in regard to their application for DSSC.

To develop cost effective, durable and more efficient DSSC by implementing a holistic approach of integrating novel materials with knowledge-intesive characterization and processes. The final target would be to assess the feasibility of large-scale production of PV modules based on this technology.
