JIGYASA (2020-2025)

A Student Scientist Connect Programme (2020-2025)

Introduction

CSIR-Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute has launched a student-scientist connect programme 'JIGYASA' in collaboration with Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathans (KVS), State Government schools, NVS etc.. The sole objective to increase scientific inclination of the students so that they are groomed towards scientific research work.

Models of Engagements (2020-21)

  • Online lectures for the students ---Topic related to COVID technologies
  • Guest Lecture to be organized & Student meet for Chemistry
  • Workshop on Robotics & Manufacturing
  • Workshop on Water technologies & student workshop in Math
  • School training program in North East State and competition/ quiz in science
  • Guest Lectures & Student workshop in Physics
  • Training program for Startups & Entrepreneurs.
  • Teachers interactive program
  • Industrial Training courses for the skill manpower

July Celebration of World Population Day  for students & On “technology development method” for student-teacher-scientist. Through Web meeting about CMERI’s Technologies
September On Teacher’s Day, Scientist- Teachers-Scientist one day workshop about Science & Technologies and its application. At CMERI office & KV Schools at North East
October CSIR Foundation Day celebration with Students  and one day workshop CMERI, Durgapur
November International Week of Science Celebration, Demonstration of Agro machineries, pollution control etc. At CMERI & North East
December National Pollution Control day
February CMERI Foundation Day celebration with popular lecture on basic science CMERI, Durgapur
March Popular lecture on basic science  & promotional activities CMERI, Durgapur
