Main objectives :

• Upgradation of Video Conference Facility to cater the need of multipoint/ multi-room conferencing
• Upgradation of IT server infrastructure to cater the increasing load of the user and for better and reliable IT services
• Renewal of Annual Maintenance Contract for Maintenance of Computers, Printers & Network Infrastructure of the Institute

What was achieved :

• New high definition multipoint Video Conference equipment sets have been procured and installed to create a new Video Conference Facility to cater the need of multipoint/ multi-room conferencing
• Server side IT infrastructures have been upgraded through commissioning of a high capacity bandwidth shaper & analysis device, renewal of Gateway Firewall licenses and induction of a new set of high-end server hardware to enhance the reliability of the IT services in the Institute.
• Annual Maintenance Contract for Maintenance of Computers & Printers has been renewed. The network support services have also been renewed for the duration of the project. In addition to this, the rental for the Internet bandwidth has been cleared for the ISP (BSNL).
