(i) To design and synthesize flexible organic lignads with a degree of freedom with potential donor or / and acceptor sites capabale of weak interactions will be designed.
(ii)To self-assembly of dynamic MOFs: Several synthetic strategies including transition metal directed self-assembly at room temperature or under hydrothermal conditions will be utilized in the preparation of these dynamic frameworks.
(iii)The structural and physical properties of the resulting compounds will be characterized.
(iv) The responsive ability of MOFs: Possible dynamic structural changes of as-synthesized MOFs upon tuning by external stimuli such as light, counterions, guest molecules, and temperature will be investigated.
(v) Applications of the dynamic properties: The possible applications of dynamic structural behaviours in areas such as molecular recognition, sorpiton, magnetism etc will be examined.
