Dr. Rashmiranjan Sahoo has completed his PhD from IIT Madras in Chemistry. During his PhD tenure, he also worked in Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research, Mainz, Germany as a fellow of International Max-Planck Research School for Polymer Material Science (IMPRS-PMS). After an extensive post-doctoral work in the area of nanotribology, self-assembly and functionalized nanostructures from IISc Bangalore in the department of Mechanical Engineering, he joined as a Senior Scientist at CSIR-CMERI in 2010. His current research work focus on Nanotribology, Functionalized Nanostructured Materials, Nanolubrication, Composite Coatings, Waste Management, Water Technology etc. He has guided three PhD and several Master’s students in the field of lubrication, coatings and waste management. He has published more than 20 high impact research publications broadly in the field of self-assembly, nanomaterial, lubrication, coatings, waste management etc.
