Dr. P. Samanta has done his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay in 2008. Recently he is working with Surface Engineering and Tribology Department at CSIR-Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-CMERI). Before joining in CSIR-CMERI he worked at R&D division of Larsen and Toubro Ltd., Mumbai for two and half years. He received best paper award in technical category in 5-th International Conference as well as NMR award from Larsen and Toubro Ltd. as recognition for excellence in research. He has more than 30 papers in national and International publications and two design registrations on mechanical product. His research interest includes following areas: Air Journal Bearing, Magnetic Bearing, Wear and Lubrication.
