Plan Project

Development of assembly line for 12 HP Krishishakti tractor

Krishishakti, 12 hp small tractor has been designed and developed at CSIR-CMERI, Durgapur and its technology was transferred to M/s Singha Components, Howrah. The licensee, after receiving the CMVR certificate from  CFMTTI, Budni planned for production of this tractor. Accordingly, the licensee asked for technical assistance from CSIR-CMERI for development of a low capacity production line initially. CSIR-CMERI assisted in design of the plant layout, assembly line and fixtures, based on which the licensee could start the production of initial batches of Krishishakti tractor at their works.

Technological support to Micro Small and Medium Entrepreneurs (MSME) bamboo cluster, Agartala

To develop modified design of less expensive machineries for various sub activity of Bamboo stick production, to enhance the productivity, to minimize the wastage of raw materials, to ensure improved ergonomics of working processes and tools, better working conditions.

Technological support to Micro Small and Medium Entrepreneurs (MSME) Auto cluster, Faridabad

To design Indigenous Fuel Injection Pump, Imparting training on Rapid Prototyping at Cluster and Development of Training Facility for young engineers (Creation of Engine test facility)

Self Assembled Organic and Metal Organic Frameworks (MOFs): Towards exploration of new functional materials having improved sensing property

1) Selective supramolecular functional organic framework as well as MOF generation for anion recognition

2) Development of new co-ordination as well as polymeric complexes having rigid and robust network with high thermal stability and selective gas sensing ability

3) The chemo-mechanical mechanism in understanding the anion recognition for complex systems

Concept and Design of Nanolubrication for Sensors, Actuators and MEMS Devices

To design and develop composite coatings with lubricant nanoparticles for better control of adhesion, stiction, friction required for Sensors, Actuatorsand MEMS.

A Study on Formation and Evolution of Synthetic Jet using Stereo Particle Image Velocimetry

Main objectives : To characterize the synthetic jet generated from a circular orifice by varying the actuation frequency and the Reynolds number using particle image velocimetry (PIV) as synthetic jets have potential applications in flow control and cooling of miniature devices. Other objectives were: developing experimental facilities (wind tunnel, water tunnel, electronic cooling and blast wave attenuation) using particle image velocimetry (micro PIV in fluidic devices to Supersonic flow over objects).

Establishment of wind tunnel facility for fluid dynamics, heat and mass transfer R & D study.

Development of low speed wind tunnel facility [.3 m X .3 m test section with the maximum velocity of 25 m/s] with less (<1%) turbulence intensity to study wide spectrum aerodynamic and heat transfer related problems. Facility creation for online DAQ systems with current state of art equipments and sensors for pressure, velocity, forces and heat transfer measurements along with flow visualization.

Development of post harvest processing technology to enhance the farmers’ economy in Arunachal Pradesh

To establish rural R & D centres at Arunachal Pradesh for post harvest processing of ginger, turmeric etc. and enhance the economy of the local farmers.
